The vagus nerve, Latin for wandering. The left and right sides go from the brain to several organs but I want to focus on the gut. Neuroplasticity has found the gut and brain connection are so intertwined, that a loss of health in one is loss of health in the other. Ever heard the phrase, “stomach of steel”? It’s not speaking to a 6-pack. It means, the stomach can stand a lot, the person with a stomach of steel, can eat whatever and never seem affected. How about this one, “trust your gut”? Meaning, the gut feels the right or wrong choices. Serotonin is made in the gut! It is a key hormone for “happy” feelings. Immunity is regulated by gut microbiota. So, when the vagus nerve is healthy, the gut is healthy, the brain is healthy, immunity is strong in the body! My goal is to show you how to improve immunity. Especially with concerns over Covid, fear creates negative pathways so let’s gain knowledge that stamps out fear! Stay tuned...
