Accupuncture

I’ve done this a few times. Each time, I would say it’s been helpful. The last time, right before Christmas 2020, I took my son and his family to TN. We made a trip to a trampoline park so the 8 year old grandson could burn up some energy! I did great! Strong Kegels! Energy! But, about an hour into it I fell and bumped my head. Ten minutes after that, my back went out! To the point I couldn’t bend over to put my socks and shoes back on! Not good! As an RN, my job requires physical strength, using my back and legs is 90% of it. So, I had 3 days to get right! I made an appointment for a 30 minute heated deep tissue massage. It felt good but no change in the catch in my back or the pain. So, I contacted our local accupuncture office. They got me in and after a 45 minute session, I literally could bend over and touch my toes! I was shocked and thrilled! The practitioner agreed with me that the hit to the head probably triggered the nerve trauma to the low back. It was such a mild bump to the head but it really did do a number to the lumbar! I guess the lesson is, even if your kegels work doesn’t mean one should act invincible! 😅
