Yes, that is a thing. It has been for generations. Before we lost some of our understanding of creation, my own great grandmother, gathered her “spring salat” to clean the body from its winter stagnation. The fresh baby greens she gathered were rich sources of iron and other great nutritional value. The new leaves of spring plants are abundant in vitamins and because they are the first growth, they have even more dense nutritional value than older plants later in the season. My grandmother gathered baby Dandelion leaves, Sheep sorrel, Poke, Lambs quarters, wild onions and water cress. They used to Spring clean their homes and their bodies. It is a very important concept most people ignore today. If you aren’t sure what to gather from wildlife (and it’s not a recommendation for the untrained), then begin creating fresh plates of greens with the “baby” leaves found at your local grocer. Green juices will be beneficial as well. Green plants are high in blood purifiers, like chlorophyll and Vitamin K. Those taking anti-coagulants must be aware of this food value and it’s potential effects on medication. Happy Health 🌱
