The Flu Season

Whatever your beliefs are about the flu vaccination, I am not trying to change that. I offer ideas, not judgement. I know this, I had to get the flu vaccine for nursing school and to work at the hospital and every time I ended up with flu symptoms. I personally do not want it. I do believe compromised individuals would possibly benefit; small children, elderly and auto immune individuals. This is what I suggest for a stronger immune system: 1. Even healthy people get sick. How long one stays sick and how often one gets sick is a sign of a weakened immunity. So, just because you might get sick once in awhile doesn’t mean you will always get sick.  2. Raw food is the best investment in health. Better than a physical checkup. 3. Probiotics are vital as are Prebiotics. Taking a good probiotic daily, boost immunity. Eating cultured foods does the same. 4. Elderberry Sambucus is the “cold and flu” herb. It is a rich food source of vitamin C. Recommended to take it daily through the seasonal threat of flu. 5. Rest, hydration and sunshine are the cheapest yet most important immune boosters! 6. Washing your hands with warm water and soap regularly can prevent many problems with germs. 7. Prayer and positive words and thoughts are proven to build the immune system. F E A R is never healthful. L I V E with confidence. Happy winter 2018!
