Honduras UTI

So, I thought for sure, if I dealt with anything, health wise, it would be bowel/gut from parasites. Honduras filters water and we had access to that water. The problem, with the water is that it has no minerals, no electrolytes. It is completely acidic water that creates disease. I even came with an electrolyte powder! I was two weeks in, feeling very happy that I was experiencing good health when that pain, only someone who has had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) can understand, began to make me uncomfortable! Unfortunately, I did not come with anything for that specific condition and so by Sunday, after a 2 1/2 bicycle ride, I knew I was in trouble! The pain was intense. We were told the “grocery store” had antibiotics on the shelf that anyone could buy. I was shocked but went to check it out. Normally, they actually do have antibiotics that one may purchase without  a script! Long story short, I ended up at the pharmacy, open on Sunday, asked for Bactrim and paid $5 for 10 days supply. I also decided to purchase fresh made yogurt and coconut water! I took one pill drank a bottle of the coconut water, ate yogurt and within one hour, I was pain free! I will finish the antibiotic but everyday I make sure to drink coconut water and I truly believe the electrolytes in that water has been key to alkalizing my body to heal disease. This coconut water is real from coconuts with no preservatives and not like USA water. Moral of this story, a small imbalance in cell structure can do a lot of damage. Electrolytes are vital!
