What is "cell health"?

A cell by definition is a microscopic functional structure consisting of cytoplasm and a nucleus enclosed in a membrane and are the basic building blocks of all living things.

The body is made up of trillions of cells that take in nutrients from food converting that into energy and getting rid of waste by products.

Therefor cell health involves the ability of each of those trillions of cells to function at their fullest potential, taking in and giving off energy. If this health becomes unable at any level, then we have cellular destruction, or the absence of health. The word used for this is "free radical damage". The requirement of stopping the free radical cellular destruction is "anti oxidants". So for the sake of understanding, what exactly is an anti oxidant?

Anti, against. Oxidant, removal of electrons. So, we want to STOP the removal of electrons by stopping what is against that. Why are electrons so important? Electrons are the bonding force between atoms...the glue that holds the cell together so to speak. If the nails fell out of your house, your house would fall apart. Oxidation breaks those electrons apart and makes the cell sick. So, stopping this oxidation, is vital for health at every level of the body and mind!

This is cell health understanding 101! As we live and breathe, every day we are on this earth, our cells are fighting a fight we cannot see and often do not feel or pay attention to, until disease has come. The body constantly sends and gives signals to us telling us that we must pay attention before it is too late. Now, for those who like to argue that we are all going to die, so it is what it is...may I just say, it would be good to live a full meaningful life, feeling as good as possible and experiencing the best of life with energy in body and mind. For those who know me, you also know that I constantly teach, BALANCE! We will never prevent all things because this is life and we are not in control of all that life often throws at us, but IF you live to be 75 or 80, do you want to live in a state of health and energy or sickness and medication and doctor visits? I personally wish to live full on energy and health!

I will continue this thought process in the next blog. I value any thoughts and questions you might have. Thank you for joining me in this effort to become the best we can be!
